The Senior Software Developer at WORLDPAC plays a key role in maintaining and growing the WORLDPAC success story. Responsibilities

Formal Education & Certification

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering, and/or 15 years equivalent work experience.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • 15 years of progressive work experience with solution designing and developing with a thorough understanding of Supply Chain solutions.
  • Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including RPG III ILE, SQL, CL
  • Excellent understanding of RPG and SQL coding methods and best practices.
  • Extensive DB2 relational database and operating systems experience with OS/400.
  • Prior experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
  • 10 years relating to developing and supporting Warehouse Management, EDI mapping and processing, Supply Chain and Distribution, Sales Order Processing, Transportation and Shipping, Purchasing, Inventory and Finance.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding to adhere to common standards and change management tools on IBM i servers.
  • 15 plus years of experience related to IBM i platform
  • Ability to bring solution idea to fruition by working with a team or individual to design, development, test, implementation and support.

  • Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment including deadline pressure.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Pay Range

USD $115,500.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
