We are seeking a strategic EHS and Asset Protection Leader to drive these initiatives across our facilities.

 

Position Summary:

The EHS and Asset Protection Leader will lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of comprehensive programs designed to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, and the protection of company assets. This role will partner with senior leadership to develop strategies that safeguard both personnel and physical assets, ensuring our operations adhere to the highest standards of safety, security, and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHS Program Development: Design and implement EHS programs to promote safety, prevent workplace incidents, and comply with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Asset Protection Strategy: Develop and manage asset protection initiatives that secure our physical assets, prevent loss, and mitigate theft or damage across multiple locations.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to proactively identify hazards and risks, implementing control measures to ensure compliance and mitigate losses.
  • Incident Response and Investigation: Lead and manage investigations for safety incidents, security breaches, or thefts. Conduct root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Awareness: Create and deliver training programs for employees and management on EHS best practices, asset protection protocols, emergency response, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations, and ensure timely submission of required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze safety, environmental, and security data to identify trends, set goals, and report metrics to senior management. Utilize insights to enhance EHS and asset protection initiatives.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Lead sustainability initiatives to reduce waste, minimize environmental impact, and promote resource conservation across operations.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Security Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certifications:
    • Required: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
    • Preferred: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or Certified Environmental, Safety, and Health Trainer (CET).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in EHS and/or asset protection within a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards, along with asset protection strategies tailored for large-scale distribution environments.
  • Skills: Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with strong communication and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Pay Range

USD $81,000.00 - USD $108,000.00 /Yr.
