Overview

Job Description: 

The Maintenance I position performs general and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, structures and grounds within the Distribution Center property line  

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

  • Complete general repairs and routine preventative maintenance.  
  • Assist DC Maintenance Manager with troubleshooting and repair of equipment and machinery.  
  • Perform basic inspections and ensure all hazardous materials are stored safely.  
  • Other duties may be assigned. 

Qualifications

Essential Job Skills 

  • Be able to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Understanding the metric system. 
  • Basic understanding of hand, power and shop tools.  
  • Ability to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).  
  • General administrative, organizational and communication skills. 

 

Requirements 

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.  
  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent. 
  • Eligible to work in the United States. 
  • At least 6 months of related experience. 
  • Willingness to work various shifts, departments and locations as needed.  
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.  
  • Must possess or pass the Basic Mechanical and Industrial Mechanical Skill Assessment. 

 

Ideal Candidates 

  • Comfortable with all aspects of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).   
  • Extremely organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize effectively. 
  • Experience in maintenance, construction or other related field.  
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. 

 

Education 

  • Highschool diploma or GED equivalent. 

 

Certificates, Licenses 

  • Post-hire certification may be required to comply with safety standards as mandated by law to operate machinery or equipment

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, and listen. The team member is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch and occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. The team member must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is generally high (loud). 

 

Pay Range

USD $19.00 - USD $25.25 /Hr.
